Carter P. Schondelmayer

Carter Schondelmayer has practiced in litigation primarily focused on employment law since she joined the firm in 1998.  She serves as the Chair of the Firm’s Employment Practice Group.  She works closely with corporate and governmental clients to assist in employee issues and to defend lawsuits. She has experience with trial and appellate work, as well as the investigative processes of the Georgia Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Office of Civil Rights. 

 

She has been a guest speaker on a variety of employment concerns and legislation.  Carter also provides litigation assistance to the Trust and Estates Group of the Firm for contested probate or guardianship matters.  She is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Alabama.  She has been recognized by the Georgia Super Lawyers, Rising Stars from 2006 to 2010.  She has been admitted as a Barrister in the Columbus division of the American Inns of Court.  Carter also serves as a registered mediator licensed through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.

 

Carter is a native of Columbus and received both her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Georgia.  She is an active community volunteer.
