Edward P. Hudson
Edward is a native of Columbus, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Auburn University in 1981. From there, he continued his education at the University of Georgia Law School and received a Juris Doctor in 1984. A year later, he obtained a Masters of Law in Taxation from Emory University School of Law.
Edward practiced law in Atlanta until 2001, when he moved back to Columbus to practice. Edward's practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate. He represents a variety of lenders, developers, builders, investors, buyers, and sellers.
Edward is very involved in community and professional organizations. Currently, he is the Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Commission on Passenger Rail and a member of the Columbus-Phenix City Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Muscogee County Library Foundation, the Board of Trustees of Brookstone School, the Board of Directors of Green Island Country Club and the Board of Governors of The Big Eddy Club. Additionally, Edward is a member of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Section on Real Property and Probate Law of the American Bar Association. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia and an Advisory Member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA).
